AGRICULTURE STUDENTS EARN HONORS AT STATE COMPETITION         

          In the State Chapter Activity Program, the Aurora FFA Chapter earned a 3-Star chapter rating with a final placing of 32nd, this award is only given to the top 10% of the 347 chapters in Missouri.

          Chapter member, Kensie Darst starts her year of service as State Vice President of the Missouri FFA Association for 2019-20. We wish Kensie good luck in her year of service to the Missouri FFA members and organization.

          Students enrolled in the Aurora Agricultural Education program competed in different Career Development Events held during the 91st annual Missouri State FFA Convention at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Thirteen students earned state gold medals during their competitive events. In addition, thirteen students competed in their first state FFA competitive event.

Aurora students earned the following honors in their respective Agricultural Education career events:

Nursery & Landscape – STATE CHAMPIONS – Group I Gold Rating

                   Riley Pope – 1st High Individual - Group I Gold Medal

                             Riley will receive a $1000 Scholarship

                             Elizabeth will receive a $1000 Scholarship

Madison Hartwigsen – 3rd High Individual - Group I Gold Medal

                             Madison will receive a $1000 Scholarship

Environmental & Natural Resources – Reserve State Champions – Group I Gold Rating
