Due to the impending weather and the fact that it is supposed to hit while buses are on routes, Aurora R-VIII students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, February 19. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Aurora R-VIII students will have break February 15 through February 18. There will be no school on Friday, February 15 and Monday, February 18. School will resume on Tuesday, February 19.

8th Grade Boys Basketball Game - TONIGHT - HAS CHANGED LOCATION - 5:30 @ the High School Gymnasium. 7th Grade will still play at Pate.

School is scheduled to be back in session for the second semester on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Possible snow and ice is predicted in the forecast which may affect this start date. Please watch the district website and Facebook regarding our return to school.

MAP score results for the 2017-2018 school year were mailed home Monday, December 17th, for students in grades 3rd-8th. Please contact your child's office if you have questions. Make it a great day!

The 6th Annual Holiday Showcase, sponsored by the A-Tech I Class at Aurora High School will be tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the commons at AHS. There will be tables of handmade crafts designed and created by students at Aurora High School.

The Aurora R-VIII Annual Band Concert is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, December 9 at Aurora HS. 12:30 p.m.-$5.00 meals (soup, chili, baked potato). 1:00 p.m. Jazz Band performs. 2:00 p.m. Concert Bands perform.

The Aurora R-VIII School District is accepting bids for a 2002 Freightliner FS65 77-passenger school bus with a c7 Cat engine and 2000 Allison transmission. Bids must be received by Friday, January 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Call 678-3373 for more information.
